There’s a part I like in this movie I like. It has Meryl Streep in it and Chris Cooper. And Chris Cooper is telling Meryl Streep about orchids. And how amazing it is that each orchid has adapted to attract a specific pollinator. How he thinks that’s like a love story. How adaptation is amazing and how it gives him hope. And Meryl Streep says something like “yeah but it’s not so easy for humans. Because plants don’t have memory. They just move on to the next thing. For us, adapting is almost shameful. It’s like running away.”
